How to convert bits to kilobytes
kB = bit × 0.000125
Multiply the value in bits by 0.000125. To go the other way, divide by the same number, or multiply by 8,000. For example, 5 bit × 0.000125 = 0.000625 kB.
About the units
Bits (bit). The smallest unit of data, a single 0 or 1. Network speeds are quoted in bits per second.
Kilobytes (kB). 1,000 bytes in the decimal (SI) system used by drive makers.
