How to convert fahrenheit to kelvin

K = (°F − 32) × 5/9 + 273.15

Temperature scales have different zero points, so converting needs an offset as well as a scale factor. 77 °F becomes 298.15 K. A handy check: −40 is the same in Celsius and Fahrenheit, and body temperature is about 37 °C or 98.6 °F.
